We are currently recruiting an experienced and self-reliant Chief Engineer to serve as the sole engineer aboard our client’s passenger supply vessel on a short-term summer contract.
🔧 Position Details:
Vessel Type: Passenger Supply Ship
Role: Chief Engineer (Sole Engineer)
Hours: 10 hours per day
Contract Duration: July 21 – August 15, 2025
💰 Day Rates:
Sailing Days: £350
Cargo/Standby Days (8 hours): £300
🏠 Accommodation:
Shore-based accommodation provided when off-duty or alongside.
Paid familiarisation trips will be arranged prior to the contract start.
✅ Requirements:
STCW-compliant Chief Engineer license
Valid medical certificate
Previous experience as a sole engineer preferred
Background in passenger or supply vessels desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Proficient in English

Maris Recruitment is looking for a Sole Chef to work in France.
Our client is a river cruise company that offers top-of-the-range experiences to passengers throughout the season.
Their barges sail in France, Scotland, and Ireland, with each cruise lasting a week and running continuously during the season.
The barges can accommodate either 8 or 12 passengers, along with 5 or 6 crew members.
We are looking for a Sole Chef for one of their barges, who is available to start at short notice.
The company serves semi-gastronomic cuisine to customers throughout the cruise. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are served on board, except on Wednesdays when passengers enjoy lunch off the barge during a visit to a local site. Additionally, on Friday evenings, we host the Captain’s Dinner, which features a gourmet five-course meal.
