🛠 Job Overview:
As the Senior Fitter, you will work closely with the 1st Engineer to maintain and repair machinery across the vessel, particularly in the engine room. You’ll oversee the Engine Workshop, ensure safe and efficient work practices, manage tools and consumables, and assist in training and assessing junior Fitters.
🔧 Main Responsibilities Include:
Performing repairs, machining, and welding under direction of the 1st Engineer
Overseeing the cleanliness and safety of the Engine Workshop
Managing tools, equipment, and consumables
Supporting procurement and inventory control
Assisting in technical assessments and hands-on training
