Chief Rig Mechanic (Oil & Gas Drilling)
We are looking for an experienced Chief Rig Mechanic to join r drilling operations team, working on 1500 HP and 2000 HP rigs with advanced cyber chair and fully mechanized systems.
JOB LOCATION : OMAN
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all mechanical maintenance and repair activities on rig equipment
- Ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
- Supervise and guide the mechanical crew
- Maintain high HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards
- Coordinate with drilling and operations teams
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of oilfield experience
- At least 3 years in a leadership role (Chief Mechanic or similar)
- Experience with modern, mechanized rig systems
✅ Skills Required:
- Strong team leadership and supervisory ability
- Good HSE awareness
- Working knowledge of English
- Basic computer skills
🌍 Additional Requirement: - Candidates must be eligible for employment visa processing as per company and host country regulations.
