A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Captain to join a 53m private new-build motor yacht.
The yacht is currently under construction, with delivery preparations underway.
Position Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Joining Port: Istanbul
Salary: Approx. €12,000 per month
Package: Initially live-onboard position during the setup and build completion phase, transitioning into a rotational role once the yacht is fully operational.
Candidate Requirements:
Previous command experience on similar-sized private motor yachts
Experience with new-build projects and yacht setup would be highly advantageous

We are currently seeking an experienced Captain for a 185’ Delta yacht (built 2001, refit 2021). This is a permanent, non-rotational position on a busy charter yacht operating under RINA class, with a Jamaican flag and home docked in Palm Beach. The role is set to commence mid-July 2026 and includes a medical package, with salary dependent on experience. The vessel operates both private and charter use, completing approximately 12 weeks of charter per year, with an itinerary covering Florida and the Bahamas for the 2026/2027 season.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as Captain on similar-sized motor yachts with a strong charter background, particularly in the Bahamas, with verifiable references. You should have a solid track record of building and leading professional crews, along with strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills. Excellent knowledge of navigation, passage planning, and overall vessel operations is essential.
Familiarity with systems such as Voly, Manage My Vessel, and Pinpoint is important, as is prior experience cruising the U.S. and Bahamas. The successful candidate will be hands-on, highly organised, and safety-focused, with exceptionally high standards for vessel presentation, maintenance, and guest experience. You must be confident, calm, and professional when dealing with owners and guests, while maintaining full operational control of a busy charter programme.
