We are currently seeking a rotational 1st Engineer for a 96m private motor yacht programme based in Palma, starting end of April.

  • Position: 1st Engineer
  • Rotation: 2:2
  • Salary: USD 8,000/month + annual salary review + December bonus
  • Location: Palma / Private Programme
  • Start Date: End of April

Requirements:

  • Minimum RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer / Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt / 3000kW) CoC
  • Strong generator experience
  • Technically strong, hands-on, and able to work independently
  • Confident mentoring and guiding a younger engineer onboard
  • Team player with a calm, proactive, low-drama attitude
  • Male candidate preferred, ideally aged 30–35
  • English speaking
  • No history of alcohol or drug-related issues

Position: Yacht – Chief Engineer

Description: CHIEF ENGINEER – 44M HEAVY CHARTER M/Y

Location: Bahamas

Position: Temp to Permanent (with potential rotation)

A busy 44-meter motor yacht with a strong charter program is seeking a Chief Engineer (Y4 minimum) to join the team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential to transition into a rotational position alongside the current engineer. The vessel operates primarily in the Bahamas and maintains a high standard onboard with an experienced and positive crew environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all engineering operations and ensure the safe and efficient running of the vessel
Maintain engines, generators, and all auxiliary systems
Manage and troubleshoot onboard systems including Northern Lights generators, Hydrolink systems, water makers, and AV/IT infrastructure
Handle routine and preventative maintenance schedules, record keeping, and inventory management
Ensure compliance with flag state, class, and safety regulations
Liaise with management, contractors, and shipyards as needed

Requirements:
Y4 Chief Engineer license (minimum)
Proven experience on similar-sized vessels, ideally with previous charter experience
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team environment
